It was good to see so many of you at our Branch Annual Meeting; I hope you all enjoyed the night.

You should have all by now received your Sponsorship cards for the Kentucky WEG appeal. Do try and raise whatever you can. Many small amounts add up to quite a large sum and do not forget there is a prize for the person raising most money.

Likewise, there is a prize for the best Group so, please, all of you try to come to Prestwold on 7^th and bring a friend along too, and let us see if we can get Leics/Rutland Group’s name on that prize. SEE YOU THERE!

RAFFLE-

Thank you to everyone who donated prizes and bought tickets in our raffle at the Branch Annual Meeting. This year we raised £100 and a cheque for that amount has been sent to The Brook Hospital for Animals.

NEW RIDE- member Janet Denny is trying to organise a Social Ride for us in her home area of Barkeston Le Vale. This will be on either 11^th or 12^th September. Further details nearer the date.

 

NEW TROPHY-  Carol Davies is donating a Trophy to the Group in memory of her much loved Palomino pony Fudge who unfortunately went to sleep last year. It will be called THE FUDGE TROPHY and will be awarded to the Open or Advanced level hose/pony gaining most points in competitive rides of up to 42kms.

First Aider Wanted

All rides organised by EGB, from a simple social ride to the largest competitive ride must have First Aid cover at the venue.

The minimum requirement fir this is ‘First aid at work’ qualification with a current certificate.

Do you, as Leicestershire and Rutland EGB member have this qualification?  Do you know anyone that has it? If so would you or someone you know be prepared to provide First Aid cover at one or more of our rides?

There is currently a fee of £50.00 paid for each ride attended, plus free food.

We urgently nee to find someone to cover this position as our first ride may well be in early March, without the cover we cannot run the rides.
